Wow..

The Black Dog were so incredible, They made music that was at once soulful, innovative, exciting, and exceedingly beautiful in parts. There's shades of Detroit in there, but something uniquely British as well.

'The Temple of Transparent Balls' is great.. really idiosyncratic yet accessible. With its mix of beeps, bass, breaks and lush pads, I think they created a pretty immaculate template for future techno/garage/drum&bass/breakstep producers to look to.

That said.. I think that their genius was almost a product of creative differences.. as much as I enjoy Plaid's sound (and to some extent 'The Black Dog' as a solo entity) there's a certain tension in their earlier stuff that's inevident in their various future projects (as splendid as they certainly were).

Anyway.. FUCKING EXCELLENT MIX. Thanks!
