we were lucky enough to start this year with a storming gig in our stomping ground of manchester at the barnstormingly brilliant naive melody party. held in the brilliant charlies (think back street brothel meets 1970's chinese restaurant) their night is a celebration of the NM gang's favourite kinds of music electronic and not.

on the guest front they've had an embarrasment of riches including joakim, andy blake, den haan, krikor, pete herbert, dirty soundsystem, aeroplane and our good selves. their next party on friday may 29th where they have dmx crew performing.

as well as being excellent promoters they are no slouches in the dj department which their residency at bugged out attests to. they've put together this mix for us that they say has "a good spring morning-time vibe, on the bike ride to work, dreaming of a summer evening." perfect.

nathan fake's album launch party at corsica studios is nearly upon us. advance tickets for the party this friday the 15th are sold out but, fear not, there will be plently available on the door. the fun starts at 10 so get down early to get in and take advantage of discount entry before midnight. its going to be quite the party.
