the mix this week comes from weirdo police who we're reliably informed met on a cross-channel ferry from funkfordshire as all great bands do. made up of three insane humanoids, the police have been notching up a number of comsic releases of redux, bearfunk and the legendary lo recordings.

in the live setting they have been having storming up the country and the continent with their decks and fx shows featuring synths, samplers and guitars - brighton readers can check them out on august 29th at the brighton beach down festival. look out for their forthcoming album 'you're nicked' as well.

the guys have strung this mix together to celebrate the release of milky disco 2: let's go freak out which dropped earlier this summer on lo. an epic compilation taking the pulse of modern disco, its features glass candy, gatto frito, nite jewel, pink stallone, hatchback and a bevy of other beauties. the mix features quite a few tracks form the comp (alongside a smattering of weirdo police's own concoctions) so go buy if you like what you hear.
