caribou
allez-allez mix - by caribou (144.30mb, 60:08mins)[right click here to save]
we love a little bit of caribou (aka dan snaith) down at the allez-allez homestead and we've delighting at drinking in his wonderful new album 'swim' over the past few weeks.
taking on a more rave tinged sound than featured on his previous records its certainly acheives his intention of making "dance music that sounds like it’s made out of water rather than .... metallic stuff" and should be top of your shopping list when it hits the shop this monday the 10th april.
as any of you who made it down to the border community/allez-allez joint bash at corsica studios last year will know, dan is a very special dj with some of the finest taste around which is well on display in this mix. you can also hop over to the brilliant bleep website to find out which current release are exciting him. do it here.

you can listen to the mohawke remix over at our webiste (http://www.amazingsounds.org) and sample the entire ep here. the very limited vinyl (its one-time pressing only) should hits records shops on the 19th but the digitally minded can buy the release exclusively from juno this week here.
we've got a couple of exciting london gigs coming in a few weeks. at the end of the month we're taking over room 3 of the coronet for week 8 of the together series of events. also on the mammoth bill is felix da housecat, digitalism, shy child and a heap more. big! get full details and a links to buy tickets here.
then come may the 1st we're helping out decks wise at the launch party for juan maclean's dj kicks album down at the city and arts music project (C.A.M.P). other acts on the dance card include juan maclean (fairly obviously), horse meat disco and riotous rockers. a good recipe for a fun night out. get your full details here.
